We report on these industries from our newsrooms in France, Singapore, Chicago and Gatwick with rolling digital newsfeeds, newsletters, social media and online and in-person events. Our EMEA team (which this role sits within) is made up of nine titles including flagship food industry site FoodNavigator.com, as well as ConfectioneryNews.com, CosmeticsDesign.com and BioPharma-Reporter.com.

We have offices in Gatwick and London, UK; Montpellier, France; Singapore and Chicago, US. In line with the Company’s current Agile Working Policy, the successful candidate would be eligible to work part of the week from our Crawley office and to work remotely for the rest of the week.

Position

Position: Full time, permanent.

Location: Crawley / Hybrid (Crawley office minimum 2 days per week)

We have an exciting opportunity for a creative multimedia producer to join our team and support editors by producing compelling video and stills content that will help promote their news sites and next-level their reporting.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Responsible for all video and photography production.
  • Work closely with the Editor in Chief to identify stories, events and content series that could be brought to life with supporting multimedia assets.
  • Attend the all-hands Monday morning conference where top trends and stories are shared with the wider team
  • Design and deliver presentations to the Editor in Chief a list of ideas for graphics, reels, posts, videos or interviews.
  • Storyboard, film, edit and upload assets to social media, or our CMS.
  • Travel internationally with editors to support their reporting with social shorts, fireside interviews and other promotional content.
  • Film and edit assets on site and post them within agreed timescales.
  • Liaise & work with the wider business (e.g. events or marketing, supporting them where required.)

Requirements

What you’ll need

  • Demonstrable experience working in a video production role.
  • An experienced producer who’s able to produce engaging video content for our digital platforms to a tight brief and deadline.
  • Highly creative and excited to work with the editorial team to produce engaging, innovative and interesting content ideas that will excite our audiences.
  • Significant social media experience (understanding best practice for different video platforms and how best to carry through a central theme or idea into formats that work best for each platform).
  • Vibrant networking, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A strong sense of initiative and independence.
  • Good knowledge of Adobe Suite for video and photo editing (e.g. Premiere Pro; Media Encoder; Photoshop; knowledge of After Effects)
  • Experience of working with livestreams and podcasts would be a plus.
  • Knowledge or a passion for the food industry would be great, but not essential.

The role is primarily UK-based with the opportunity to travel frequently as part of our ongoing annual events and content calendar.
