In line with the Company’s current Agile Working Policy, the successful candidate would be eligible to work 2 days per week alongside colleagues in our Crawley office and to work remotely for the rest of the week.

Position

We are looking for an Account Manager to build long-term relationships with existing and new business clients across our Manufacturing portfolio. The portfolio incorporates solutions such as market-leading websites Food Manufacture and British Baker, online and in-person events such as the Baking Industry Awards, Britain’s Best Loaf/Cake, Food Manufacture Excellence Awards, Food Safety Briefing and Business Leaders Forum.

Position: Full time, permanent

Location: Crawley x 2 days – Tuesdays & Thursdays

What you’ll be doing:

· Understand client needs, strategy and business, developing long-term relationships

· Develop a creative sales approach, source new leads and produce bespoke proposals from an extensive inventory of products including digital, newsletter, email marketing, webinars and online events plus, sponsorship of in-person events.

· Proactively set up meetings either virtual and/or face-to-face with existing and new clients to present the value of our marketing solutions and how best we can support their objectives.

· Monitor campaign effectiveness – check campaigns are live and delivered on schedule, plus report to the client upon campaign completion

· Achieve monthly commercial targets – renew client contracts on time and proactively identify upsell opportunities

· Be a team player, working together to achieve brand success, as well as sharing best practice of account management across the team

· Have good working relationships with the wider teams within the business

· Ensure all internal admin is regularly updated in an accurate and timely fashion

Occasional Responsibilities:

· Represent our Manufacturing brands at industry events (majority UK, very occasionally mainland Europe)

· Attend our own events throughout the year

· Setup client in-person client meetings where suitable

Requirements

What you’ll need:

· A positive professional attitude, be self-motivated and be an ambitious dynamic individual

· A strategic and innovative thinker with good attention to detail

· Good time management

· A curious mind, eager to learn and develop own skill set

· Have experience in managing accounts, as well as proactively sourcing new business opportunities

· Have experience with a consultative sales approach and an ability to deliver complex marketing solutions

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills across all levels and functions – clients and colleagues

· Client locations can often be in areas not easily accessed by public transport, a full driving licence & access to own vehicle is required
