We are looking for a Senior Digital Project Manager experienced in the end-to-end rollout of digital platforms and solutions. We are currently in the process of reviewing our CMS strategy and are evaluating digital experience platform solution options as the next phase of our digital evolution. Our existing CMS estate is wide and covers a large volume of digital B2B news publications in the food, feed, pharma, cosmetics, hospitality and retail/manufacturing industries. Our CMSs integrate with a variety of existing systems like our EMS (Adobe Campaign), Adobe Analytics, lead gen platforms, video and podcast streaming platforms, access and entitlement services (piano.io and Abacus ADvance), Google Ad Manager, etc.

The focus for the role will be to work closely with the Programme Manager to define and document the scope of the replacement solution, assist in the creation of an RFP defining the requirements and participate in the vendor selection for the experience platform solution, development partner and hosting solution options. The Senior Digital Project Manager will again work closely with the Programme Manager in the day-to-day management of various workstreams, change management, budget management, identifying and managing risks and issues that threaten the successful delivery of the project, reporting progress to management throughout. The candidate will be comfortable talking with colleagues at all levels within the organisation as well as external suppliers.


Key Responsibilities:

Senior Digital Project Managers are responsible for the full life-cycle management of projects from defining the initial brief through to deployment and transition to Support Desk.

This is a cross department role requiring effective communication between individual businesses that operate at WR and the Digital Delivery team that helps support those businesses.

Senior Digital Project Managers have a high level of demonstrated experience of both basic and advanced project management principles, including development of:

• Requirements Specifications and Business Case development

• Complex project plans, critical path analysis and resource levelling

• Ballparks and cost management

• Change requests

• Risk, assumptions, issues and dependencies

• Financial tracking and controls

• Supplier Management

Key Role Responsibilities:

• Budget: Internal and supplier.

• Scope: Deliverables against established Business Case.

• Schedule: Timeliness and schedules within a project plan.

• Resources: Team member assignments, allocations, and durations.

• Quality: Promoting the best product within the defined remit of the project.

Our Senior Digital Project Managers are diligent problem solvers who can learn quickly and make things happen. You are expected to be a proactive results-driven individual with a track record of delivering across a broad range of technologies, platforms and channels.

Required Skills and Experience:

A Senor Digital Project Manager must have the following essential skills, knowledge, and abilities:

• More than five years’ experience of delivering large scale digital projects such as CMS migrations, Digital Experience Platform roll outs, systems with multiple integrations and systems with multiple Users based in different geographical locations.

• Strong business analysis skills on digitally focussed projects and be adept in eliciting and documenting requirements, writing user stories and acceptance criteria and defining process flows.

• Adept at planning complex projects and can rapidly respond to changes in priorities as the business changes.

• Setting up and running Project Board meetings.

• Regular reporting on status.

• Setting up and maintaining a RAID log.

• Strong organisational and administration skills.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to cope under pressure in a professional and calm manner.

• Adept at creating practical solutions to daily business challenges.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Visio and MS Project.

• Comes from a technical background and has managed technical projects in the digital space.

It is considered beneficial but not essential for candidate to have:

• Have worked with external technology suppliers (SaaS platform providers, PaaS hosting, infrastructure, etc).

• Have experience of B2B publishing.
