We have an exciting opportunity for an Insight Lead to join our Lumina Intelligence team on a 1-year fixed term contract. Lumina Intelligence are a highly ambitious, London-based, food & drink consultancy on a mission to inspire our customers with expert insight and world-class data powered by analytical thinking, outstanding expertise, and leading technology.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Ownership of Lumina Intelligence’s Foodservice market expertise. Creating actionable, deep and inspirational insights that help clients build strategic plans for the out-of-home and hospitality markets.
  • Managing and overseeing client or syndicated projects from proposal stage, through to client management and delivery. Ensuring high standards are met and projects are delivered on time, managing both internal and external expectations.
  • Planning and managing team capacity, matching tasks to capacity, availability, and capability / areas of expertise.
  • Owning the project workflow schedule to ensure the wider business is kept up to date.
  • Supporting and leading the team in delivering high-quality insights through expert data interpretation, storytelling, and visualisation; researching food and drink market trends; collaborating with sales, marketing, and research teams to ensure consistent and impactful content delivery; and meeting client needs with accuracy, quality, and timeliness.
  • Lead the delivery of our food study tours and bring data to life and activate food trends within our client base.
  • Representing the insight team at internal events and being an ambassador for the Lumina brand and our insights externally.
  • Attending events and presenting our quarterly updates at our Food and Convenience Strategy Forums alongside the other members of the Insight team.

Requirements

What you’ll need:

  • An expert in retail markets including Food and Drink – Hospitality / Out-of-home / Foodservice markets
  • Proven results in a similar / relevant insight role either agency side, FMCG manufacturer, retailer, or foodservice operator background
  • Confident in explaining and presenting data and insight
  • A solid understanding of research methodologies and data analysis
  • Ability to work collaboratively and influence
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills, able to work independently and manage own workload as well as create a positive culture for team members
  • Passionate about food and drink
  • Technical skills – data literate and comfortable using a data visualation and analysis platform
  • Excellent data visualisation and an eye for design
  • Advanced analytics and statistics experience is desirable but not essential
